The last moment of the year always brings people to think and list the things they want to achieve in the up coming year. Before you and I go a head and do so, let's close this year and give ourselves a feedback because "feedback is the breakfast of champions" (Ken Blanchard)

Rewind to exactly a year ago, December 2014, I was registered to 3 different courses in university and started to write my first paper out of two, which I needed in order to finish my business management degree.

It has been good few years that I've been studying in the background of living and racing my bike in Europe.

The decision was to finish all of my study duties during the year of 2014, meaning I had two full semesters to pass 3 courses and write 2 researches.

To top it off and since I was concerned I will become a full time student and adopt the chubby lifestyle, I called another goal for 2015, to get leaner and stronger (meaner), or in other words: Abs.

Fast forward to this week, the last week of 2015, literally three days ago I got my final grade for my second and last paper (seminar) for my degree. The next message from university will be to show up to the graduation ceremony.

Pheewwwww that was a close one!

Looking at the results, I'm extremely proud and happy about it. I have achieved what I put as goals:

The right side option is how my year looked and felt like:

What we see on the right is my 2015, A mix of holiday big meals, full-on focus days, days of sickness, failed assignments, A+ assignments, misunderstandings about courses registration, late registration, out of energy days, big hunger days, full power days......do you get it?

The big picture is a puzzle of lots of different small pieces. Some of them are easy to put together and some of them will give you d@mn hard life along the way. This is why it is a good idea to have plan, something you can go back to, look at it, read it and remind yourself of your goal and the way.

Goals can be results/placing in races, grades in studies, degrees, to change the old car, get new cycling gear, a membership in the gym, a promotion at work, higher watts, squat heavier weights.....any wish you have.

Our last year's feedback is the beginning of next year's goal plan whether we achieved our last year's goal or still working on it.

Invest time in goal achieving. New year's resolution isn't due and measured on February.

I have achieved my main goal for 2015 on day 361 of the year!

Target your goal, make a plan, be tough and flexible, find your inspiration, keep your motivation high and go for it.
